The City of a Thousand Crimes
Mason Graves was trained at the U.S. Marshal’s Academy, which he entered shortly after he completed high-school. He graduated training with high marks, and was quickly placed on assignment as an official U.S. Marshal. Through-out the years he has compiled an impressive record with many commendations for his work especially in the ‘20s. However, once prohibition ended the U.S. Marshals were forced to make large cuts to their programs, and Graves was put inactive. When the job offer came in from Feare’s office, Graves decided that the pay was more than sufficient while waiting to see if he would be re-sanctioned.
He left the agency the same month he arrived in Los Angeles to join the L.A.P.D.
